Titahi Bay Boatsheds

Directions:
From the North take the second off ramp from SH1 at Porirua and follow the roundabout to cross the overbridge above the motorway.  From the South take the off ramp and turn left at the roundabout.  Follow Titahi Bay Road along the Western shore of the harbour and turn right into Onepoto Road.  Pass the large car park on your right, then Gloaming Hill Road on your left, and park in the car park behind the boat sheds.
Details:
The walk follows the foreshore (and the seabed if the tide is out) from behind the boat sheds to a point opposite Mana. It can be an off-lead walk for Beagles, although be aware that sometimes they have been known to find all sorts of alluring but disgustingly smelly things washed up on the shingle.
Notes:
  • Suitable for buggies, although if the tide is in, you may need to push them through a bit of water and over some rocks!
