Events

All existing and prospective Club members are welcome to attend walks.

Please always bring doggie doo bags and leads.

31 August 2008 Eastbourne, at 2pm. Meet at the carpark at the end of Muritai Road (at Burdans Gate at the start of the Pencarrow Lighthouse walkway).
Notes: Suitable for buggies.
The Burdans Gate walkway goes through private farmland. As of 2007, dogs must always be on lead and annually during the spring lambing season from 1 September there is a total dog ban along the walkway. These new restrictions are strictly enforced. On the day of the walk, we can decide whether to travel on this walkway south toward the lighthouse or north along the Eastbourne Esplanade where dogs are permitted to be off lead along the beach.

Note: Suitable for buggies, although if the tide is in, you will need to push it through a bit of water and over some rocks! We managed last year!

19 October 2008 AGM, at 2pm. Details to be announced.

23 November 2008 Queen Elizabeth Park, Paekakariki, at 2pm. Take SH1 north and take the exit marked Queen Elizabeth II Park. Follow the road right to the end.
Note: Suitable for buggies that can handle sand.

Walks are generally for an hour followed by a BYO afternoon tea.  They are never cancelled, but Club Members can receive a telephone reminder/confirmation several days before if they wish.
